The 16th Quarterly Meeting of UBEC Management with Executive Chairmen of SUBEBs, holding in Jos, the Plateau state capital, has been declared opened by the Plateau State Governor Rt. Hon. Barr. Simon Bako Lalong at the Crest Hotel Jos.

Prior to the formal opening ceremony, the Hon. Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Anwuka in company of the Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr. Hamid Boboye, the management of UBEC and the Plateau state Executive Chairman of PLSUBEB Prof. Matthew Nshim Sule, paid a courtesy call on the Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman Plateau state traditional Council at the palace. His Majesty Elder Gyang Buba the Gbong Gwom Jos, welcomed all and appreciates the strides made in education. He equally made comments in favour of the resuscitation of the Teachers Training Colleges.

The delegation led by the Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PLSUBEB) Executive Chairman Prof. Sule after the formal opening, proceeded on an inspection Tour and foundation laying ceremony of a new block of classrooms at the Police Children School Jos (performed by the Minister of state of Education Prof. Anwuka) and LEA Hei.
